The 2024 Vocational Experience of the Jesus Menino Community was a deeply enriching event that provided a profound encounter with the charism of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Held at the community itself, the gathering was led by Father Thomaz, spiritual director of CCJM and current Diocesan Chancellor of Petrópolis, alongside Tônio, the founder of the community.
The event welcomed formators from various fields, including Alessandro (professor and theologian), John (psychologist), Mr. Júlio (representative of Betânia Consulting), Doris (Pro-Life advocate), and families from the Bento XVI Institute in Belo Horizonte. The experience also brought together celibates and families from Petrópolis, neighboring regions, and other states across Brazil.
The program was marked by moments of preaching, lectures, and testimonies, highlighting the living of the Gospel as the essence and foundation of family life, inspired by the Holy Family of Nazareth. The event culminated in the moving First Eucharist ceremony of little Valentin Silveira, a moment of deep faith and communion.
This experience became a true source of love and spirituality, renewing in our hearts the confidence in Divine Providence that sustains our souls and spirits. It strengthened in each participant the commitment to a living charism, encouraging the pursuit of holiness in daily life through the Gospel in action.
