Our history

The Jesus Menino (Jesus Child) Catholic Community is a Private Diocesan Association of the Faithful with juridical personality located in the Diocese of Petrópolis (Brazil), founded in 1990. Its mission is to offer a family life to people with special needs who have been abandoned, many of whom have suffered attempted abortion, adopting them and welcoming them as sons and daughters

Composed of committed lay people who seek to live the evangelical counsels of poverty, obedience and chastity, and married members, the community is dedicated to restoring the value of life and family. Currently, the community headquarters houses 47 children with disabilities, providing them with education, assistance and an environment of faith and love, reaffirming their dignity as loved and welcomed human beings.

Over the years, the Jesus Child Community has expanded its charisma throughout the world, always defending the evangelical values of life and family.
